DIRECTOR'S WORD

My Dear Colleagues;

Since 2005, DTR inc  established itself as a premier educational provider on breast diseases detection, intervention and therapy, training over a thousand physicians through its international event, The Breast Course. Now for the first time, DTR Inc. partners with  Medical Professionals to bring us The Breast Days, an event focused on providing breast care knowledge to Middle East professionals.
Join us in Dubai at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina November 7, 8 and 9, 2010. With ample hands-on biopsy workshop time, discussions on mammography, sonography and MRI, electronic voting and case presentations, we guarantee that  The Breast Days will be yet another stellar educational event, complete with up-to-date information coming from world-renowned experts in the field.
 As information becomes available, we will be maintaining this post regularly.
Until then, bookmark this site and reserve the dates for the next Breast Days!

Sincerely,

Nathalie Duchesne, MD

His particular interests are multidisciplinary team working for breast assessment, breast cancer screening, breast ultrasound and image guided breast interventional procedures.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of  The Breast Days, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify state-of-the-art advances in detection and intervention for breast cancer; and
  • Integrate most recent practice guidelines for small, image detected breast cancer in his/her daily practice

In particular, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the major pathologies affecting the breast;
  • Detect breast pathologies using conventional imaging technologies (mammography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging);
  • Describe appropriate procedures for stereotactic, U/S or MRI guided minimally invasive breast biopsy;
  • Select and utilize the appropriate sampling and guidance systems for optimal histological diagnosis when performing minimally invasive breast biopsy;
  • Utilize the definitive histologic diagnosis provided by percutaneous breast biopsy to reduce the number of surgeries required for diagnosis and therapy
