Radiation Therapy Basics: The Therapist’s Guide is a continuing education course intended to be a comprehensive guide to the basics of radiation therapy and the roles and responsibilities of RTTs. The course provides an overview of the physical properties of radiation, its biological effects on healthy tissues and tumors, and of how linear accelerators work. It also highlights the latest treatment techniques and innovations and details the role of RTTs and other members of of radiation therapy teams in a radiation therapy department.

Radiation Therapy Basics is suitable for novice radiation therapists and veteran radiation therapists who need a refresher in the fundamentals. It is also suitable for students in RTT programs who want to enhance their learning and expand their competencies.
