This webinar explains how molecular breast imaging (MBI) works and why it is an increasingly important tool for detecting cancer in dense breast tissue. Participants will explore the science behind MBI, including how radiotracers identify abnormal metabolic activity, and gain practical insight into patient preparation, exam workflow, and dual-detector imaging systems. The session compares MBI with mammography, DBT, ultrasound, MRI, and contrast-enhanced modalities, highlighting how MBI overcomes the challenges of dense glandular tissue. Through real clinical cases, attendees will learn how MBI can reveal cancers missed by traditional imaging and, by the end of the webinar, will be able to recognize suspicious findings, determine appropriate next steps, and understand how MBI enhances early cancer detection and patient care.
