Participants will review the appropriate use of X-ray, ultrasound, CT (including whole-body pan-scan), and MRI, with emphasis on selecting the right modality for head, chest, abdominal/pelvic, spinal, and extremity trauma. The session highlights adapted positioning and mobile imaging techniques for unstable or immobilized patients, radiation safety using ALARA principles, efficient trauma-team communication, and special considerations for pediatric, pregnant, and geriatric patients, preparing attendees to make timely, informed imaging decisions in critical trauma settings.
