Ultrasound Continuing Education (CE) Credits Course
A fully interactive, ASRT-approved radiology CE course for radiologic technologists that will fulfill your biennial CE requirements
Ultrasound Continuing Education (CE) Credits
Our Ultrasonography of the Liver course is an introduction to ultrasound that addresses the different ultrasound imaging modes, as well as the strengths of ultrasound strengths as compared to CT and MRI. The second part of the course provides an overview of the anatomy of the liver and its division into segments to facilitate the localization of tumors. The third part presents a description of each specific mode used for imaging the liver, with a special focus on contrast-enhanced ultrasound, which increases image quality to a level similar to that of CT and MRI. The third part also describes the use of endoscopic ultrasonography and elastography for the diagnosis of liver diseases. The fourth part describes, in detail, examination techniques and problems that the technologist may face during imaging; it also presents the factors the technologist must take into consideration to obtain the best image quality. The final part of the course presents and discusses liver diseases, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, adenoma, and the characteristics of benign and malignant liver tumors. The module concludes with descriptions of the specific ultrasound mode to be used with each disease and specifies the technique that should be used to improve the quality of the images and to obtain the best possible diagnosis.
This online Ultrasound CE course is approved by the ASRT for 2 Category A CE credits and is accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). This course also meets the CE requirements of the following states: Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, and New Mexico.
