Course Description

Build greater confidence in abdomen and pelvis MRI with a practical course designed to connect essential anatomy with the techniques used in everyday imaging. Abdomen and Pelvis Anatomy and MRI Positioning guides you through the major anatomical planes, landmarks, organs, vascular structures, and key relationships of the abdomen, male and female pelvis, and bony pelvis. You’ll learn to recognize relevant anatomy on MRI while strengthening the foundational knowledge needed to plan examinations and obtain clear, diagnostic images.

This course is ideal for MR imaging assistants who are building their knowledge of anatomy and patient positioning in MRI, while also serving as a valuable refresher for radiologic technologists and MRI technologists who want to reinforce these essential skills. In addition to anatomy and positioning, the course covers practical considerations that shape a successful MRI examination, including patient preparation and screening, special patient considerations, MRI safety, coil placement, breathing instructions, and contrast media administration. By bringing anatomy, safety, patient care, and positioning together, this course helps learners approach abdomen and pelvis MRI examinations with greater understanding, confidence, and preparedness.
