Course Description

Build a stronger foundation in breast MRI with a practical course that connects essential anatomy and physiology with the techniques used during breast imaging. Breast Anatomy and MRI Positioning reviews breast and lymphatic anatomy, anatomical regions and quadrants, blood supply, physiology, and male breast anatomy, while helping learners identify key structures on axial, sagittal, and coronal MR images.

This course is ideal for MR imaging assistants who are developing their knowledge of breast anatomy, patient preparation, and positioning in MRI, while also serving as a valuable refresher for radiologic technologists and MRI technologists. Learners will review breast MRI scheduling and examination requirements, patient screening and preparation, dedicated breast coil use, prone positioning, MRI safety considerations, and contrast administration—bringing together the knowledge needed to support safe, effective breast MRI examinations.
