Course Description

Build a stronger foundation in neuro MRI with a practical course that connects essential anatomy with landmarking, imaging planes, and patient positioning. Neuro Anatomy and MRI Positioning covers the head and neck, brain, vascular anatomy, orbits, internal auditory canals, temporomandibular joints, and the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal regions of the spine. Learners review key anatomical landmarks and structures while developing the knowledge needed to recognize anatomy on MR images and properly plan neuro MRI examinations.

This course is ideal for MR imaging assistants building their knowledge of neuroanatomy and patient positioning in MRI, and it also serves as a valuable refresher for radiologic technologists and MRI technologists. In addition to anatomy and landmarking, the course reviews patient care, screening and preparation, standard precautions, MRI safety, special patient considerations, coil selection, and positioning techniques for head and spine imaging. By bringing anatomy, patient care, safety, and positioning together, the course helps learners approach neuro MRI examinations with greater understanding and confidence.
