Assessing the severity of a muscle lesion is important for professional athletes as well as for people practicing recreational sports for the sake of avoiding a long interruption or a quick resumption that is a source of recurrence. In addition to the identification of this lesion’s “grade” and the ultrasound-guided puncture of fluid hematomas, the ultrasound must also specify the exact injury site and determine whether the lesion affects the musculoskeletal system or simply the muscle fascicles. Upon completion of this module, you will be able to identify the connective anatomical sites within each muscle group and the different lesions affecting it.
