In this course, you’ll get a review of the basics of screening mammography and the basic vocabulary and orientation of ultrasound, and revisit where the anatomy lies when looking at the images. You’ll learn to identify the quadrant the specified lesion is in and how to correlate it to the patient’s breast. We’ll walk you through how deep in the breast the lesion is on the mammogram and therefore how deep the lesion should be when looking under ultrasound.
We’ll also demonstrate for you the proper way to hold the transducer in order to understand the orientation of the body part on the monitor. You’ll get an in- depth explanation of 2D mammography vs 3D mammography and how to locate the lesion with one standard view.
