California Radiology CE CreditsHere below you can find a summary of the California radiology Continuing Education (CE) credits requirements for Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRTs), as per the Radiologic Health Branch – California Department of Public Health:
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT):
  • must earn 24 CE credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period, 4 of which shall be in digital radiography.
Mammographic Certified Radiologic Technologist (MCRT):
  • must earn 24 CE credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period, 10 of which shall be in mammography.
Radiologic Technology Fluoroscopy (RTF):
  • must earn 24 CE credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period. Those with digital authorization must earn four 4 of the 24 CE credits in digital radiography.
Limited Permit X-ray Technicians (XT):
  • must earn 24 CE credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period, 4 of which shall be in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
Physician Assistant Fluoroscopy (PA):
  • must earn 10 CE credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period, 4 of which shall be in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
Certified Supervisors and Operators (California Licensed Physicians and Surgeons, Podiatrists, or Chiropractors):
  • must earn 10 CE Credits (Category A or A+) in two-year period.
